Annual Festival

1. Amman annual festival – June/July
The festival commences with flag hoisting and lasts for 15 days. Special poojas are performed both day and night during this period.
On the final days, the following rituals will be held:

  • Sappram

  • Chariots procession

  • Theertham (holy water ceremony)

  • Poonkavanam

 

2. Pillaiar annual festival – May
This is a decorative festival that begins with Ganapathi homa and continues for 10 days. Special poojas are performed each day.
The concluding rituals include:

  • Sappram

  • Chariots procession

  • Snkkabhishekam (conch abhishekam)

  • Poonkavanam

 

3. Murugan annual festival – August/September

A decorative festival starting with Ganapathi homa, lasting 10 days with special poojas daily.
On the final days, the following rituals are performed:

  • Sappram

  • Chariots procession

  • Murugan thirukalyanam (divine wedding ceremony)

5. Maasi Makam

6. Varalakshmi pooja

7. Gowri pooja

8. Kantha sasti pooja

9. Vasantha navarathiri festival

10. Ayyappan pooja
